Looking for the best elliptical exercise machine for home use.?

Does anyone have an elliptical at home. Which are the best ones?

The best lower end brands are Horizon and Keys units. Spirit also has a couple of lower priced units coming out in Sept-Oct that are very good and will have great warranties. Keep away from anything by Icon Fitness (Proform, Welso, Image, Epic).

I walked every day until we bought the treadmill, I didn’t want to get it, but my doctor suggested I get it, he said you can use this even when it rains, yeah, like I suspected, clothes hanging on it, I dust it more than I use it!!

What’s the best home exercise equiment for shrinking thighs?

Home Exercise Machine | Posted by admin July 9th, 2010

I’ve been thinking about buying an at Home Exercise Machine, but I have no idea which one to buy. I want something that’s smallish or easily stored, good cardio, and that will shrink my thighs. Inexpensive would also be great. Is there such a thing?

Help me identify an old home exercise machine from the 1970’s…?

Home Exercise Machine | Posted by admin June 20th, 2010

I remember my older sister buying an inexpensive Home Exercise Machine (perhaps a better way to describe is to use the word "tool" rather than "machine") circa 1978 from a store called "Arbor Drugs" (which was bought out by "CVS Pharmacy" in the mid 1990s). The best way I can describe this "tool" is as follows…It was like two plastic jump "ropes" connected to a pulley system. It came with a plastic hook on top, and hung from the ceiling. The two "ropes" had transparent vinyl-like handles at their ends. You had the option of exercising your arms by standing up, and after inserting your hands through the handles, making "boxer-like" punching motions, or giving your legs a workout by laying on your side, and after inserting your feet through the handles, kicking each leg up and down, one leg at a time. Does anybody remember this exercise "tool" from the 1970’s. I would do anything to find a website, article, or photo that features it. Can anybody help? Any help, or feedback, would be appreciated. By the way, this item was a product of the 70’s, and has not been sold in stores since the early 80’s.

Thanks!

Cheers!

Sincerely, Steve B.

I’m not sure what it’s called, but it seems like it is very similar to the recently made Weider X Factor, or Randy Couture’s Tower 200.
